HOT PATOOTIE

Had a pretty busy day yesterday. I slept in pretty late because I had worked close Thursday night. I had to straighten my hair and everything before I could get moving, as well as go and grab something for Christopher and I to eat. I had to make the cake and the jello shots as well earlier in the day.

Picked up Dom at College Square for his and Alex’s pre-birthday pre-drink.

We chilled till I went to pick up Alex and Liz at his house (because I told them not to drive so we could all drink). I told Christopher and Dom they had to come for the drive, because we were having a family drive. Got them, and on the way Katie called for a pick-up from Baseline. I was pretty much right there, so I grabbed her. There were no seats in the car, so she was sprawled across everyone sitting in the back.

We hit up McDonalds on the way back to my house, because… well… it’s McDonalds.

We all came back to my house, and by this time it was just after 6.

We ate some fabulous penis cake I made, and did the jello shots (extra-strong).

We watched some Kenny vs. Spenny, Anchorman, and our new group favorite… Sin Cities. At 12:00 we all wished Dom a happy birthday.

I worked open today and so I went to bed pretty early. Alex worked early this morning too, so him and Liz left at around 1. Dom and Katie got a pick-up shortly after, and I tried to get to sleep as quickly as I could. It didn’t really work. I got about 3 hours sleep tops.

I was supposed to work today until 10:15, but someone called in sick. They asked if I could stay till 2, and I told them 12.

Came home and took a well-deserved nap. Now I am just waiting to hear from Liz and Alex. They are at a family birthday party thing, but they’re coming over after and we’re gonna figure out what to do. Likely go chill and drink with people at Kristy’s.

SICK

Holy shit, I have suck a horrible cold. Barry sent me home early today because I just couldn’t. I was supposed to work till 12, but at 10 he told me I could just split.

I’ve been working pretty much everyday, and with my free time I’ve been laying in bed, because I feel like such shit.

I just have a typical cold, sore throat stuffed nose… but X3.

“IT’S A GUY THING”

Translation: What I did is going to piss you off/upset you, and so I’m not telling you.

You know what, fuck off. There isn’t one thing that I keep from you, so whatever stupid shit you were doing last night, I deserve to know. And also, don’t expect me to forget this.

Halloween, eh. I guess I should write about that.

Saturday morning I worked open - 10:15. I had hoped to come home and take a tap before we left, but that didn’t happen. I got ready, picked up Alex and Paul, and we headed up to Liz’s cottage.

We watched some Jerry Springer, ate food and drank. I really wasn’t feeling so hot, or so sociable, so I ducked out in our room for a while and just played with my phone to pass some time. An hour and a bit later I got into my costume and joined everyone outside. I basically just drank myself under the table in order to pass out. 12 bottles of beer in under 2 hours will do that. Played kings.

I threw up, passed out, and that was that. 4 out of 5 girls ended up puking.

Christopher stayed up while I was in bed doing God knows what, since he won’t tell me for some reason, so that’s wicked.

Woke up the next morning with no hangover. We watched Atlantis, Indian in the Cupboard, and Happy Gilmore downstairs with Paul, Alex, and Emily. The rest of the people were upstairs. They made some pasta, and then we ate it.

We left for home at around 2. It was daylight saving day, so we “gained” and hour.

When Christopher and I got home he said he didn’t feel like going ot Rocky Horror, and so I missed out on my favorite thing of the year. AWESOME. I was the one even feeling sick, but there was no doubt I would have sucked it up. And also, if it was something so important to him, I would have put whatever aside that was making him not want to go, and just do it for him. I guess that’s where we differ.

Overall, I probably would have had more fun at a few other parties just cause there it was like “their crew”… plus me, but it was still a good time.

I picked up these boys tonight for me and Christopher. So stoked.

I also stopped by Bayshore and found a nice jacket for $50, and got a plain polo for work (since the only colored shirts I currently have are dress shirts).

Peter might come over tonight. I don’t work till 5:00PM tomorrow, but Chris is working with his dad at 7 in the mroning… so he may or may not depending on what time Christopher ends up crashing at.

HAD MY FIRST OPEN TODAY

When I left my house, and had to put my headlights on because it was just THAT early… I suddenly got very depressed. Haha. Waking up at 4:30 for work = not fun. I’m used to night shifts only.

Also, apparently it doesn’t get light outside now till sometime after 7:00AM. Hum, I had no idea.

FIRST SHIFT

I can tell you right now training is going to be boring as hell. Reading from manuals and learning recipes. Only incentive: I’m getting paid.

I’m getting trained (today anyways) with another guy who just got hired, named Jason. He’s pretty chill… we get along.

I work an open tomorrow, Thursday @5:00PM - 11:30, and Saturday open. Not too bad for my first week. I better start getting more shifts though. I said full time, not 4 short shifts a week.

I do think I’m going to like it there though. Here’s hoping…

WENT TO A STAFF MEETING TONIGHT

It was pretty pointless in that I don’t really have any idea about half the stuff they were talking about, since I haven’t even been trained yet (first shift is today [since it’s technically after 12] at 11:30).

I did get a feel for everyone who works there though, and a bit about the store.

I got home just before 10, and then watched Dexter, and some other Tivo’d shows.

Time for sleeps now.

I GOT THE JOB

Barry just called and said I’m hired! He’s gonna try and get me in the schedule for the following week, but he says things are pretty crazy there so he doesn’t know if he’ll be able to (and honestly, I don’t care. Cause with Halloween and every one’s birthdays in the next few weeks I’m gonna be almost perma-smashed… so it’s really no big if I don’t start till after all that).

The only funny/weird thing is that he didn’t call ANY of my references. Not one.

No matter… fuckyes, I have a job. No more being broke for me :)!

Tuesday movie night with Christopher was Law Abiding Citizen, this week. I was a great movie. I had read a lot of reviews of people complaining about the ending… but I really liked it. I don’t possibly know what else they’d want to happen. Gerard did a great job of course, and he is sneaking his way into my top 3 favorite actors. Overall it was a great movie, and a good time.

I spent some time with Grandma earlier in the day. We just did some grocery shopping.

GOOD SIGN

I had my second interview at Starbucks today with Barry, and everything went really well.

At the end of it, he told me “Assuming your references check out, everything looks great”.

And Katie worked later that day, and called me saying that Barry pretty much said I had the job unless my references screwed me over.

Gah, that makes me so happy. I would REALLY like to start working (I know in a few months I will be complaining and wishing I was free again… but I NEED money. I hate the feeling of being broke).

Keep your fingers crossed. He said I should be getting a call in the next few days.

SAUNDERS RIP-OFF

Well, last night was… interesting.

Rosa asked me to go to Saunder’s farm with her cause Rico had gotten her passes, then we were gonna go drinking after. She picked me up just after 7, and we drove around for a bit. We got some gas, a bite to eat, and a quick stop at Macs.

After this is when things started to go downhill. We got to Saunders and the little guys with the wands showed us what spot to park in. Turns out it was right across from her ex-boyfriend (of less than a week’s) truck.

She kind of “oh fucked”… because she’s just really trying to get over him and seeing him probably wouldn’t have been the best thing. But what do you think happened before we could even go on the first ride?

Yeah, we saw him. Not only did we see him… but he was with another girl. I was shocked, cause really, wtf. So I sat there trying not to look as much as possible as Rosa bitched him out. They were still kinda seeing each other, in that they still talked on the phone and had the occasional hook-up. Anyways, so that kinda put a damper on the night.

We still went on Huanted Hayride and all that, but it raelly wasn’t as fun as it could have been, considering. (Everything aside though, Saunders Farm is a huge rip-off and unless I have free passes again, I would NEVER go back. Even with a bracelet once you do a ride once you can’t do it again? And there’s only 5 things to do. So really, fuck off).

We left just after 10 and drive around. She vented and cried and I listened and helped as best I could. We didn’t end up going out after because she kinda just wanted to go home and crash.

She dropped me off (well, I dropped myself off in her car, because I was driving for a good while casue she didn’t feel so good) sometime after 12.

Christopher and I finished watching the new SNL with Gerard Butler, and now here I am.

Later last night Christopher, Katie, Dom and I saw Paranormal Activity for the 9:30 showing. The only place in the city it was playing was Empire 7 Cinemas downtown, so we drove down there because we were all super pumped to see it.

We knew it was apparently the scariest movie ever released, but we thought it really couldn’t be that bad. …it was. (The movie itself was incredibly well-done and gets it’s job done [to scare the living shit out of you], but because of that, I didn’t like it… even though I… did?) People in the movie were screaming, jumping, and a few left. It was easily the scariest movie I have ever seen, and it will likely affect me the rest of my life.

This movie just gets in your head and fucks with everything that makes you feel secure. It was too real to me, and I didn’t like that. No matter if you believe in that shit or not, too much stuff has happened to me personally to have any doubt that what went on in that movie could very well take place (perhaps to just a lesser effect).

I couldn’t sleep until day break, I talked to Katie today and she didn’t sleep, and I haven’t talked to him, but I’m more than sure that Dom had a really uneasy sleep as well, if he even could sleep.

Tonight should be interesting. I wonder if I’ll be able to sleep.

STARBUCKS

This is what I wrote yesterday at 1:30, after I had gotten home from my interview at starbucks:

I dressed classy, yet with a subtle view of cleavage, just like everyone suggested :).

I think it went pretty good. Well, I’m more than sure, because after we were done he said: “Well, that’s all for the first interview. I can tell you that it went well” Haha.

Apparently they are hiring 2 people out of the 10 that they are going to interview. Each assistant manager is interviewing 5 people, then they deliberate and pick two. That’s pretty discouraging, cause odds aren’t really in my favor… but here’s hoping. I think I’m just gonna go in like everyday for the next week and buy tons of coffee!

He did ask me if I had applied anywhere else, and I told him yeah, and that I had an interview with Future Shop. After we were done he said that he’d let me know by next weekend either way if I got the job or not, but semi-jokingly (I think) He said something along the lines of: “If Future Shop calls back don’t accept”.

Gah, I really need this job. *fingers crossed*

And this is what I wrote just over an hour and a half later:

They already called me back for a second interview!!!!! That was like, not even 2 hours after I left the interview… he said about a week till I’d get a call either way. I must of REALLY done well :D

Chris and I hung out with Katie and Dom today. We picked up Dom earlier in the day and watched Silent Hill, and got a lot of unhealthy food. Katie came over after school. We just chilled.
