HOT PATOOTIE

The life of a typical 19 year old Canadian girl.

I have another tumblr where I post little antidotes, random memes, and snippets of my life; but this is more personal (and a rather 'secret' blog). --Welcome

Christopher and I went to The Sounds Saturday night. It was such a wicked show. Worth the 2 hour drive, and worth the money (which wasn’t much at all).
We did nothing during the day. Watched some TV lazed around. We eventually got ready, and at around 5 we jumped in the car, grabbed some McDonald’s, and headed out. The drive was good, it was nice weather and good music was playing, so the drive went by fast.
We got there, parked, and walked to the venue. We parked a bit father than we should have, but it was just a short walk down the street.
We got to Metropolis and I was so impressed. It’s a great venue. Big, but not too big. And REALLY nice. I wish we had good places like that here in Ottawa.
I went to the merch table and got a hoodie becauseeverything was so much cheaper than other shows. We went up to the bathroom after where there was a hug balcony overlooking the stage with yet another bar. We went down to the floow though, and got a spot 2 rows from the bar. If we really wanted to push we could have made it to the front, but neither of us really cared that much.
Foxy Shazam opened for them first. I remembered them from a good 4 years ago. It sucks that they are so fucking weird, because their sound was not too bad. After them Creature came on, and they were amazing. I would pay to see another one of their shows. They were selling their own stuff at their merch table after the show, so we went up to them and said a quick hi.
At 9:30ish The Sounds came on, and they were just perfect. Great performers, her voice is amazing, they played all my favorite songs, and there was ton of energy. Overall it was just a killer show, and if I ever get the chance to see them again, I would without hesitation.
They finished around 11:30/12, we walked back the car and headed back home, getting here around 2:30?
Overall it was a great night… even if I did get a ticket on the way home. Haha, oh-fucking-well.
